May	Hugo Road Race -The Hugo Road Race is a 78-mile bicycle race which brings competitors in by the hundreds.  Since Eastern Colorado is known for it's WIND, this race while fairly flat offers quite a challenge. This event will be held on  May 22nd 2010. This event has brought as many as 550 bike racers to Hugo and is sanctioned by the ACA (American Cycling Association). Bicyclists begin the race in Hugo, go south on Highway 109 to Karval then west to State Highway 71, then North to Highway 94, then East On Highway 94 , back to Highway 109, back north to arrive in Hugo again. For more information go to http://www.cyclingevents.com/hugorr   STATUE DEDICATION IS MAY 1st 2010   The Statue is done and has arrived in Hugo !  Work will begin on the base and the statue will be set. A short ceremony will be held on May 1st 2010. Time will be announced later. Local dignataries will be in attendance along with spiritual leaders. Plan to attend this event !
June	Colorado Championship Ranch Rodeo -No bull riding here...this rodeo is more of a practical nature.  In cooperation with the Working Ranch Cowboys Association this annual event features bronc riding, team branding, team sorting, and wild cow milking. This years event will be held on June 25-26 2010 with an outside dance at 8 p.m. Saturday nite. Please visit http://www.coloradochampionshipranchrodeo.com  for details.
July	Independence Day -The Hugo VFD presents a wonderful fireworks show each year at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds. This years event will be on July 4th,(of course) and will start right at dusk, so be there or be square!  You may contribute to the Fireworks Fund so we may be able to keep this tradition going! August	Lincoln County Fair -The second full week in August brings the Lincoln County Fair.  Livestock, Rodeo, Farm Machinery, Home Brew Competition, Dutch Oven Cook-Off, and Greased Pig Catching...just to name a few. The rodeo will be held this year August 9th thru 14 2010. Come and join in all the fun ! A parade will be held in downtown Hugo on main street Saturday morning at 10 a.m. with marching bands, floats, horses,vintage cars and vintage tractors. Plan to be there.
September	The Genoa-Hugo School Homecoming Event   Homecoming will be held this year on September 25 2010. More info will be announced later on this event. Watch here for the details...!
